Teaching Philosophy

I am committed to preparing students for research-informed, culturally responsive social work practice. My teaching emphasizes critical thinking, methodological rigor, and the application of research to real-world problems facing communities.


Current Courses (CSUSB)

Social Work Research Methods (SW6011, 6012, 6013, 6014, 3010)
Graduate and undergraduate courses covering research design, data collection, and analysis for social work practice and policy evaluation.

Social Work Practice with Older Adults (SW5900)
Examines issues facing aging populations and evidence-based interventions for older adults and their families.

Macro Practice (SW6020)
Focuses on organizational and community-level social work practice, including program development, policy advocacy, and community organizing.
